Lifeway @ Equip

Lifeway College, in partnership with Equip Whangarei, have launched a campus right here in Whangarei. Get equipped in a Diploma of Christian Ministry NZQA recognised, or study for interest only.

Classes are held at the Thirty3 Event and Conference Centre, on Tuesday nights, during term time, from 7pm.

There are also opportunities to do internships with Equip, for approved persons who wish to learn the practical application of living a ‘kingdom lifestyle’.

The classes will be taught with a variety of different speakers and overseen by Roger Klemke. Roger who arrived from Australia more then 2 years ago, has a long history in teaching Christian Ministry. He has over 10 years of pastoral experience, has a teaching gift and a great desire to train and equip others.

 Interpreting the Bible

The purpose of this module is to introduce students to various hermeneutical approaches to scripture, the mechanics of biblical exegesis, and genre sensitive interpretation.

By the end of this course students should be able to:

• Appreciate the effect of hermeneutics on interpretation of scripture
• utlise exegesis to effectively interpret different genre of scripture
• use interpretative tools to assist in bibilical interpretation
• apply biblical interpretation to our contemporary context.
