Our intentions are to meet the needs of our communities and city, spiritually and practically.
This is achieved through a range of activities the church has initiated.

After School Care Programme

The Equip School Holiday Programme runs every school holidays during the year and for the last two weeks of January. This programme is for 5 – 13 year olds, inclusive. We are OSCAR registered and WINZ subsidies are available. 

Lynley Duffull, supervises the Holiday Programme and the OSCAR after school programe. She has been part of Girls Brigade for 25 years, has run Scripture Union School Holiday programmes, is involved in Childrens Church and our local Bible ‘n School. She is currently a foster parent. Lynley is passionate about providing children who are in care and School Holiday programme with activities that would normally be done during the school holidays including the movies, roller-skating, day camps and much more.

 The Great Potential Trust is involved in the Christmas Day Feast, providing empowering and equipping coures such as Door of Hope and of course it also presents to Northland women the annual Girlfriends Fashion Showcase.

Whangarei City Christmas Day Feast

The Equip Church have been making the Christmas Day Feast happen for 5 years now!
It's an awesome Christmas day event for those who are financially strained, or who may be otherwise spending Christmas alone... 100 volunteers give up part of their Christmas Day to serve, provide entertainment, and make the day a success for all of their guests.
